2014 to 2017 Goals and Objectives

Maintain the instructional program of St. Therese Catholic school to meet or exceed the expectations of a traditional college readiness curriculum

 

Objectives

  1. Examine the current instructional program to ensure active instruction, integration, and modeling of the teachings of the Catholic Church.

  2. Review and revise the current scope and sequence of academic instruction within the context of a traditional college readiness program.

  3. Increase the implementation of instructional technology throughout the instructional program.

 

Increase effective involvement of St. Therese Catholic School parents.

Objectives

  1. Begin the school year with a general meeting for all parents with a specific agenda addressing needs, goals, and expectations for parents during the coming school year.

  2. Hold semester general meetings for all parents to provide information and feedback pertaining to the goals and expectations for the school year.

  3. Maintain the web-based student management system and web-site to support home to school communication with regards to events, attendance, assignments, and referrals.

  4. Invite parents and families to be involved in annual Catholic Schools Week Mass and activities.

 

Increase involvement of alumni and their parents.

Objectives

  1. Organize and provide an alumni evening

  2. Establish and maintain a mailing list for alumni for invitations, newsletters, and announcements.

  3. Establish and maintain an alumni page on the school’s website.

  4. Establish an alumni award for distinguished graduating 8th grader.

  5. Invite parents and families to be involved in annual Catholic Schools Week Mass and activities.

 

Increase involvement of the Pueblo clergy (Bishop, Priests, and Deacons) with St. Therese Catholic School.

Objectives

  1. Organize a clergy visitation day to discuss vocations

  2. Organize and provide a luncheon for Pueblo clergy during Catholic Education Week.

  3. Develop and maintain a current presentation that can be presented to the parishes of Pueblo according to the wishes of the Bishop or the parish priest.

  4. Establish and maintain a mailing list for Pueblo Priests for invitations, newsletters, and announcements.

  5. Personal invitation to local Priests to celebrate weekly Mass with students as well as be involved in annual Catholic Schools Week Mass and activities.

  6. Establish a clergy sponsored award for distinguished STCS students.

 

Maintain and continue to grow a capital reserve fund to address future significant maintenance needs.

Objectives

  1. Maintain a Capital Reserve Account within St. Therese Catholic School’s budget and financial reports.

  2. Establish and maintain a minimum balance for the Capital Reserve Fund at $35,000.

  3. Continue annual deposits to reach and maintain the minimum Capital Reserve balance as well as grow the fund.

  4. Anticipate and schedule significant maintenance projects for the campus of St. Therese Catholic School.

 

Establish and grow an operational reserve fund to address potential cash flow shortfalls within the budget.

Objectives

  1. Establish and maintain an Operational Reserve Account within St. Therese Catholic School’s budget and financial reports.

  2. Establish and maintain a minimum balance for the Operational Reserve Fund at $40,000.

  3. Continue annual deposits to reach and maintain the minimum Operational Reserve balance as well as grow the fund.

 

Establish and grow a capital construction fund to address future growth of St. Therese Catholic School in terms of enrollment and program.

Objectives

  1. Define a Capital Construction Account within St. Therese Catholic School’s budget and financial reports.

  2. Define the purpose, scope, and procedures, for the STCS Capital Construction Fund.

  3. Establish a minimum balance for the Capital Construction Fund at $100,000.
