John Fabian

John Fabian is our middle school Science teacher. John is a native Pueblo resident with a wide background of experience that includes research assistant on the Pawnee National grasslands, surveying, national park ranger, and education. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Computers in Education. John has thirty years of middle and high school teaching experience throughout the state of Colorado. In addition to teaching, he is a well-respected farmer on the St. Charles Mesa.   John’s love for the outdoors is integrated into everything he does.

Ed Krall

Mr.  Ed Krall,  is a lifetime resident of Pueblo. He was raised in the Bessemer area of Pueblo and graduated from Central High School. Ed received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Southern Colorado.  He began his teaching career in 1978 at La Jara Elementary School in La Jara Colorado, a small community in the San Luis Valley.  Ed has spent 18 years teaching physical education.   Prior to retiring in 2013, Ed spent 16 years in the classroom at Columbian Elementary School in Pueblo teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, but found his niche teaching 4th grade.  Ed is an avid sports fan and enjoys fishing, hiking, and the outdoors. Ed’s wife is Laurie Krall and they have one daughter.

Renee Kremer

Renee Kremer is our Preschool Director.  Renee has taught Preschool for over 21 years, with at least 10 teaching for Pueblo City Schools.  Renee graduated from Pueblo Community College with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  Renee has her Child Development Associates Credential and an Early Childhood Professional Credential II from the University of Colorado at Denver.  Mrs. Kremer is a Colorado native, married to her husband Andy and together they have two children, a son and a daughter.  Renee enjoys reading, going to the movies, crafts, spending time with her family, and visiting her mom and dad in Howard, Colorado.  Rene feels blessed to be teaching at St. Therese and looks forward to working with the staff, students, and families at St. Therese Catholic School.

Kristi Kwitek

Kristi Kwitek is thrilled to be the 3rd grade teacher at St. Therese Catholic School! She obtained her teaching license from the University of Northern Colorado with a major in Social Sciences and a minor in Psychology.  Kristi has over 10 years of teaching experience ranging from pre-school to 3rd grade. She has also enjoyed teaching CLOW (Children’s Liturgy Of the Word) and Confirmation classes for her church. Kristi is married to a Godly man and they have two wonderful teenagers together. All of her free time is spent with her family at church or traveling and laughing together. Kristi feels truly blessed to be teaching at STCS where she can help each child evolve into the person that God intended them to be. With her guidance, encouragement, love, and prayers, it’s going to be a great year!  She believes that, “When we encourage our children to follow God, His plan for them and their lives is always much better than our own plan”.

Dennis Vigil - Principal

Mr. Vigil was born and raised in Pueblo. He attended Catholic School at St. Leander and Roncalli until his sophomore year, when he transferred to Pueblo East High School. He is retired from Colorado Springs School District #11 spending 32 of his 34 years at Doherty High, the last six of which he was principal. His wife, Joyce Vigil is also a Pueblo native, as are his three children and three grandchildren. Mr. Vigil is excited to be back working in Pueblo at St. Therese and invites you to call or email him with any questions or concerns.

Maria McGrath

Maria McGrath teaches religion at St. Therese Catholic School. She is also the pastoral assistant; Director of Religious Education, bookkeeper, and youth minister at St. Aloysius in Rye, Colorado. Mrs. McGrath has a B.S. in Law Enforcement Administration from Youngstown State University in Ohio and a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis from the University of Southern Colorado. She completed her Master’s Degree in Religious Education in April, 2008, from Loyola University of New Orleans. Mrs. McGrath and her husband, Don, have two Children, and live in Colorado City.

Anna Tobey

Mrs. Tobey recently retired from Pueblo City Schools as an Elementary Music Specialist.  She attended Trinidad Catholic Schools for 12 years and went on to earn a B.A. in Music with an emphasis in Choral Conducting and Piano from Loretto Heights College in Denver.  Her years at these stellar Catholic Schools set the stage for her life-long love of Music, World Language, and all Fine Arts.  She began her teaching career as the Choir Director Trinidad Catholic High School.  She also taught Piano Class, Music History, and was the Staff Accompanist at Trinidad State Junior College.

Marilyn Wren

Marilyn Wren is our 5th grade homeroom and intermediate Language Arts and History teacher.   Mrs. Wren is a graduate of Adams State College.  She has also done postgraduate coursework through Colorado State University at Pueblo and the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Wren has an extensive background in art and has worked with children of all ages in a number of capacities.  She returns to the teaching field following  twelve years as a licensed counselor.  Mrs. Wren enjoys traveling to a wide variety of ocean islands, snorkeling, and reading.  Most of all, she treasures the time she spends with her family.

Deann Stinchcomb

Deann is our 1st grade teacher.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Colorado and Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Emphasis in Education from the University of Northern Colorado    She taught for 31 years in Pueblo District #60.  She enjoys music, singing, teaching, and spending time with her family.  She is very excited to be at St. Therese Catholic School.


Lana Koman

Lana is our 4th grade teacher.  She has spent a lifetime with her feet firmly placed in Pueblo.  She has taught 30+ years in Pueblo District #60.  After being retired for one year, she missed the Ah Ha moments of students.  Being a Catholic, God led her to St Therese Catholic School.


She has a BA degree from University of Southern Colorado in Psychology and Elementary Education.  She has a master’s degree from Adam’s State in Elementary Education and ESS.  The District has said that her credentials considered her highly qualified in Math, Reading, and Writing.  


Her greatest gifts in life are her husband of 40+ years and her three children. Anthony, Brock, Brittney and Brad are her world.  Teaching comes next.


David Montera


David is teaching the following subjects in our middle school: 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Social Studies, 7th grade Speech, 8th grade Advanced Speech, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Language Arts


Mr. Montera grew up in Aguilar, Colorado.  He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Trinidad State Junior College and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  His Master's was completed at Adams State University.  He began his teaching career at Rocky Ford High School before moving to Pueblo to teach at Centennial High School for thirty-six years.  He is still the speech and debate coach at Centennial and is recognized as a six diamond coach by the National Speech and Debate Association.  Mr. Montera is a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoys cycling and traveling.  Mr. Montera's wife, Teresa, is a music educator.  Their daughter, Talia, also hopes to be a teacher in the future.
